Christjohannes Schreiber takes Slovakiaring pole position

Christjohannes Schreiber led a Krenek Motorsport 1-2 in Slovakia, with championship leader Petr Fulin behind his team-mate to form an all-SEAT front row. Fabio Mota finished third just ahead of Rikli Motorsport’s Kris Richard, who had set the pace in Free Practice for Honda.

Fulin had initially taken the lead, but was beaten by his team-mate halfway through the session and was not able to improve. Mota’s third place was never in danger as Kris Richards was almost three tenths off his rival’s pace, while Norbert Nagy finished fifth in his Zengo Motorsport SEAT.

Igor Stefanovski set his lap time late in the session with 12 minutes to go, and was good enough for sixth. Peter Rikli put his Honda Civic TCR in seventh ahead of Mladen Lalusic, with Wolfgang Kriegl the last driver in the S2000 class in ninth.

Ullrike Krafft took pole position in the S1600 class by finishing tenth overall, ahead of fellow Ford drivers Andrii Ievtushenko and Niklas Mackschin.

The FIA ETCC race 1 will start at 10.00 local time tomorrow.
