New, simpler format for the Neil Tozer Trophy for 2016

The Neil Tozer Photographic Trophy will run for a third year, with support from PSP Images, TouringCarTimes’ BTCC photography partners for the 2016 season, in a new, simpler to enter format, targeted towards both established and aspiring motorsport photographers.

The trophy, named for PSP Images’ photographer Neil Tozer, who sadly passed away late in 2013, will continue with the support of Neil’s family

For 2016, entries will be accepted throughout the season with the winners announced at the end of the year, dropping the race-by-race format used previously, allowing entrants to build up a portfolio of entries for the contest, which they can send through at any time during the year. Also responding to feedback about the short turnaround time after each race in which to submit entries.

The final deadline for the 2016 competition will be October 31st, but there’s no need to wait, you can already start sending in your entries now with your photos from the Brands Hatch and Donington Park rounds of the championship.

There is no limit to how many images to send in.

The conditions to the competition entries will be:

– The entries must be identified by what meeting they were taken at.
– Any image showing signs of being digitally enhance will not be accepted.
– The standard 3:2 ratio image will only be accepted. No letterbox or ‘unusual’ shaped images.
– Please identify if you’re entering the professional (media accredited) category or the amateur category.

The professional category prize will be £200 and a trophy.

The amateur winner will not only receive a cheque for £150 and a trophy, but also the chance to go trackside at an event during 2017.

Last year’s amateur winner Chris Drewery had access to 2016 BTCC Media day and produced some pretty impressive shots. He will go on to experience a full blown BTCC meeting trackside during the year.
