Three drivers penalised at Thruxton

Three drivers were handed penalties following the third round of the BTCC season at Thruxton.

On what proved to a dramatic weekend of action in Hampshire, all three penalties followed incidents in the final race of the weekend, with no ramifications from the accident that forced race one to be red flagged.

The three penalties were as follows:

Jack Goff – Verbal warning and two penalty points for an incident involving Gordon Shedden in race three

Rob Collard – Verbal warning for gaining an unfair advantage in race three

Hunter Abbott – Official reprimand and two penalty points for an incident involving Stewart Lines in race three
