Rob Huff to go to the back of the grid following engine change

Honda driver Rob Huff will be forced to start the opening race of the weekend at the Nürburgring from the back of the grid along with Volvo’s Fredrik Ekblom, after the team were forced to change his engine following Free Practice 1.

The Briton also crashed out in the final minutes of Free Practice 2 at the first turn with a mechanical issue, hitting the barrier with the front of his Civic WTCC.

The team have applied for an engine change which relegates him to the back of the grid for the opening race which features the reversed grid, while he will start from wherever he qualifies for the main race.
