Lee Holdsworth will miss next race after fracturing his pelvis

Lee Holdsworth is going to miss the next V8 Supercars Championship race after fracturing his pelvis in a big crash in the second race at Hidden Valley Raceway.

The incident came on the first lap after an incident with Brad Jones Racing driver Jason Bright, sending the Charlie Schwerkolt Racing hard into the wall.

Holdsworth was transferred to the Royal Darwin Hospital where they established that he had a fractured pelvis and minor chest and elbow injuries.

The injury means that he will be out from the race at Townsville, with the team looking for a replacement.
