Robert Dahlgren heads Test 1 at Karlskoga from Björn Wirdheim

Polestar Cyan Racing driver Robert Dahlgren was on his own in the first test of the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship weekend at Karlskoga, beating Flash Engineering driver Björn Wirdheim by close to two tenths of a second.

Dahlgren was fastest despite suffering from a stomach virus he got while racing WTCC in Argentina last weekend and that forced him to a brief hospital stay earlier this week.

Daniel Haglöf headed three SEATs in position three, with team-mates Johan Kristoffersson in third and Emma Kimiläinen in fourth.

Championship leader Richard Göransson carries maximum penalty weight, 60 kilos, this weekend and was sixth fastest in this test, just below six tenths of a second from Volvo colleague Dahlgren in the top.

Dacia Dealer Team driver Mattias Andersson claimed position seven and Flash Engineering driver Reuben Kressner position eight.

Another driver suffering ahead of this weekend is Flash Engineering driver Linus Ohlsson who reported major back pains ahead of the weekend. The Nissan driver completed six laps only during the test and was tenth fastest, 1.397 seconds from the top.

Next up is Test 2, starting at 13:45 CET.
