Stewards hand penalties to Lucas Auer and Tom Blomqvist

Mercedes AMG driver Lucas Auer has been given a grid drop penalty for Nürburgring, after receiving his third warning of the season during today’s race at Moscow Raceway.

The Austrian from Team Mücke received a warning for obstructing Audi driver Nico Müller during lap 36 of the race. With it being his third warning of the season, Auer has received a five-place grid drop penalty for Saturday’s race at the Nürburgring.

In a separate incident, BMW driver Tom Blomqvist, who scored his third podium of the year, received a 1,500 Euro fine for using his BMW M4 DTM’s airjacks at prohibited times after today’s qualifying session and race.
