Martin Tomczyk and Tom Blomqvist given 30-second penalties in Hungary

BMW Drivers Martin Tomczyk and Tom Blomqvist both received 30-second penalties for two different infractions after the first race of the weekend at the Hungaroring.

Team Schnitzer’s Martin Tomczyk was deemed responsible by the stewards for a collision which saw Audi’s Mattias Ekström spun off the track at Turn 2 at the start of the race. The German driver received a drive-through penalty which was respectively applied as a 30-second time penalty, dropping him from 22nd to 23rd.

Team RMG’s Tom Blomqvist was found responsible for using the DRS more than three times per lap, so the Briton was also handed a 30-second time penalty, which drops him from 13th to 22nd.
