Zou Si Rui doubles up for Dongfeng Honda Racing in Shanghai

Zou Si Rui won the second of two races in the China Touring Car Championship’s Super Cup 1.6T class at the Shanghai International Circuit, leading the way from pole position unchallenged ahead of team-mate Martin Xie.

A 1-2 became the best result possible for Honda early on after Henry Ho retired on the opening lap.

Kia Racing’s Jim Ka To was given a drive-through penalty for a jump start which dropped him to the back of the field.

Martin Xie’s second place helped him retake a five-point lead in the drivers’ championship after finishing Race 1 tied with Kia’s Jason Zhang, with Zhang finishing down in fourth place behind Kia team-mate Larry Lin Le Feng.

Just eight cars made the finish, with Henry Ho the only retirement from the race.

The season finale is provisionally scheduled to take place athe Guizhou Jun Chi International Circuit on October 30th.
