Mat’o Homola handed post-race penalty

B3 Racing Mat’o Homola was awarded a post-race penalty, as the stewards deemed the SEAT driver responsible for several contacts with Craft-Bamboo’s Pepe Oriola in Malaysia.

The Slovakian therefore had ten seconds added to his race time, which drops him from seventh to 16th and outside of the points positions.

The penalty meant a number of changes in the points-scoring positions, meaning Craft-Bamboo’s Sergey Afanasyev moves up a place, as do TCR Asia champion Andy Yan and B3 Racing’s Attila Tassi. Team Engstler’s Davit Kajaia also scores a point, although none of the championship contenders were affected.
