DTM teams continue testing in Portimao this week

The preparation for next season continues in the Algarve this week, with all three manufacturers involved in the four-day test at the Portuguese track of Portimao.

From Monday to Thursday, Mercedes AMG, Audi Sport and BMW Motorsport will continue testing their upgrades solutions for next season, when the new Class One technical regulation will come into play.

The cars will still be hybrid 2016 models with 2017 features, with the final versions not expected to be seen before the official tests in April ahead of the season premiere.
Robert Wickens, Gary Paffett and Lucas Auer will be on duty for Mercedes AMG, with Mattias Ekström and Jamie Green for Audi Sport. Bruno Spengler and Augusto Farfus are the chosen drivers for BMW Motorsport.
