Volvo set date for drivers announcement

Polestar Cyan Racing Volvo team have confirmed that they will announce their three drivers for the 2017 season on February 27th at an event in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The Swedish factory squad heads into its second season with the S60 Polestar, and will expand to three cars as the team target the title against factory rivals Honda and a slew of privateer Citroën C-Elysées.

The team is yet to announce any drivers for the season, but a shortlist is understood to include current drivers Thed Björk and Fredrik Ekblom, as well as Argentinian Néstor Girolami, former Lada driver Nicky Catsburg, with four-time champion Yvan Muller possibly in the mix after a secret test with the team last week in Portimao.

The team will announce all three drivers for its WTCC campaign at 14:00 on February 27th.
