Kristoffersson Motorsport reveal new STCC livery

Volkswagen team Kristoffersson Motorsport has revealed its new livery for the 2017 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship season.

The team has revealed a striking blue livery as it returns to the championship for the first time since it’s title winning season back in 2012.

”We have really fond memories from the STCC, especially when we became champions in 2012. It feels good that Volkswagen is back on the grid and the interest from the teams for the Golf GTI TCR has been really great, something that makes us happy,” said Sten Forsberg, head of Volkswagen Sweden.

The team is going to field two Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR race cars for STCC newcomer Fredrik Blomstedt and 2012 STCC champion Johan Kristoffersson, who is not going to take part in all races due to clashing WRX commitments.

The team is planning to have a replacement driver for the rounds when Kristoffersson is absent, although has not confirmed any further details.
