Pepe Oriola worried about high kerbs damaging the car

Craft-Bamboo’s Pepe Oriola confirmed his team’s strong form by placing his SEAT León TCR in second in free practice in Bahrain. The Spaniard is happy with the result of some set-up changes, but he is also aware that the real levels will only be revealed tomorrow after qualifying.

“We made some changes to the setup and they seem to have worked well”, admitted the Lukoil-backed driver. “Everyone will be on fresh tyres for qualifying and then we will know exactly what is happening. The grip has improved and the car seems better than this morning.”

A steering problem during the second session left the Spaniard worried about high kerbs at Turn 2, as he feels his SEAT picks up damage every time he jumps on them: “I’m a little bit worried because towards the end I had a steering problem. The kerbs at Turn 2 are too high and the car seems to be more damaged every time I touch them.”
