Tom Coronel’s car withdrawn from Spa-Francorchamps

The #1 Boutsen Ginion Honda Civic TCR of Stéphane Lémeret and Tom Coronel has been withdrawn from the final two races of the day, with the team unable to repair the car following damage sustained in Race 2 in a collision with DG Peugeot driver Kevin Abbring.

Coronel was due to race the car in the last two races of the day, starting Race 1 from third on the grid behind the Opel of Mat’o Homola and the Audi of Sheldon van der Linde, but will now be forced to sit out the rest of the weekend.

Coronel and Lémeret will score no more than 18 points during the weekend, picked up after finishing second in yesterday’s qualifying race behind the Mondron brothers’ SEAT León.

With no points today, the duo have already slid to seventh in the standings, before Races 3 & 4 have even taken place.
