24-car grid confirmed for the 2017 STCC season
The Scandinavian Touring Car Championship organisation has confirmed 24 cars on the entry list for the 2017 season, with 15 full season entries and nine for a partial season.
“The big interest exceeds all of our expectations,” said Jonas Lundin, MD for STCC AB.
“We believed in the TCR concept from the first moment, but that the upswing with the new cars would be this big already for the first season is something we never dared dreaming of.”
The cars on the entry list include the Audi RS 3 LMS, Honda Civic TCR, Kia Cee’d, SEAT León TCR and Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.
The 2017 STCC season starts on May 5-6th at Knutstorp, the circuit where the official pre-season test is currently underway.
