Fredrik Ekblom still on top as Marcus Annervi closes in at Knutstorp

Volkswagen driver Fredrik Ekblom remains fastest in the first part of the second Scandinavian Touring Car Championship test day at Knutstorp, lowering his best lap further to 1:00.533. Honda driver Marcus Annervi improved his time to second fastest, 0.427 seconds behind.

SEAT Dealer Team PWR Racing driver and co-owner Daniel Haglöf was third fastest, just 0.044 seconds from second place.

Lestrup Racing driver Dennis Strandberg continues his strong form from yesterday and was fourth fastest in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, just below half a second from the top time.

Former Dacia driver Mattias Andersson was fifth fastest in his Honda Civic, 0.512 seconds from P1, while former Volvo driver Robert Dahlgren claimed position six, five thousands of a second from Andersson’s time.

Micke Ohlsson was fastest of the Audi drivers for Brink Motorsport in position seven, while Andreas Ahlberg rounded off the top eight for Micke Kågered Racing, six tenths of a second from the top.

A total of 17 cars took part in the morning session. The STCC test continues at 13:00 CET.
