Kantadhee Kusiri claims pole position at Zhuhai

Engstler Motorsport’s Kantadhee Kusiri has taken pole position for the third meeting of the TCR Asia Series, on the series second visit to the Zhuhai International Circuit, leading the two R Engineering Hondas of Abdul Kaathir and WS Lai.

Kusiri dominated the session in the Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, and was almost nine-tenths of a second up in his Engstler-run machine.

Kusiri’s team-mate and points leader Diego Moran was fourth fastest, followed by the two Phoenix Asia-run Audis of brothers Shaun Thong and Jasper Thong behind.

Douglas Khoo was seventh in the Viper Niza Racing SEAT León, with American driver Bill O’Brien completing the top eight.
