Kristoffersson Motorsport expand to third Volkswagen for Fredrik Ekblom

Kristoffersson Motorsport has confirmed a third Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR for Fredrik Ekblom in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship races at Alastaro this weekend.

”I am going all in for victories,” said Ekblom.

The three-time STCC champion was scheduled to drive the season start at Knutstorp only, where he finished second twice and won the third and final race.

”The professionalism and competence of Fredrik is an important injection in our team. His winner instinct and hunt for victories is something each all are served well by. So the day after the season start, we began working internally to secure the conditions needed for Ekblom to drive further races,” said Tommy Kristoffersson, team owner.

Ekblom, currently placed second behind Robert Dahlgren in the championship, will drive alongside team-mates Fredrik Blomstedt and 2012 champion Johan Kristoffersson, who is back after missing the season start due to clashing WRX commitments, at Alastaro.

The team has not yet confirmed whether Ekblom will drive any races beyond Alastaro.
