Facundo Ardusso feeling strong enough to battle for pole position

Renault Sport’s Facundo Ardusso has stated he feels his car is doing well enough to be a contender for pole position at Rosario, where the Argentinian Super TC2000 Championship is holding its fourth round of the season.

“Our car has done really well, the team did a great job to give me a strong pace in the practice session”, said Ardusso to TouringCarTimes.com, after leading the second practice session at the ‘Juan Manuel Fangio’ circuit in Rosario, Santa Fe province.

“We are strong candidates, but this is a short lap. As you can see, the gaps are very tight. It will be crucial to have good grip in your front tires for Q3.

“If I had to pick other candidates, I’d say Matías Rossi (Toyota Gazoo Racing Argentina), Leonel Pernía (Renault Sport), Agustín Canapino (Chevrolet YPF), and Damián Fineschi (Escudería FELA by RAM Racing) will be very firm contenders”.

The qualifying session for Race 1 is scheduled for 13:40 ART at the 2.6km circuit.
