Facundo Ardusso surprised by lack of pace in second Rosario race

Renault Sport’s Facundo Ardusso was surprised by the lack of pace going from the first race on Saturday, which he won, to the second race on Sunday.

“Perhaps it had to do with the lack of grip we had yesterday, following cold temperature and the minor rain in qualifying session. The track was better today and we couldn’t be as strong as yesterday. We don’t know exactly what happened,” he said to TouringCarTimes.com.

Ardusso was strong enough to set pole position for Saturday’s feature race, which he won in style. The second race saw him finish second, unable to challenge race winner Agustín Canapino.

“We’ve learnt in this round, we know we’ll have to deal with situations like this, where our performance drops a bit from night to morning. This following weeks will be important for working with the team and sort this out. However, we are in good form in this season, we know we can do well in Termas de Río Hondo,” said Ardusso.
