Petr Fulín tops first test session at the Nürburging

Krenek SEAT driver Petr Fulín was fastest of all in the first test session for the European Touring Car Cup cars at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, leading the rival SEAT of Fabio Mota by over five seconds.

Only eight of the 11 cars entered in the ETCC, which shares the track with the World Touring Car Championship this weekend, took part in the 60-minute joint-test session.

Behind Mota was the best-placed of the Rikli Motorsport Honda Civics, with Peter Rikli leading team-mate and championship leader Christjohannes Schreiber by just over a tenth of a second.

Igor Stefanovski, the Macedonian driver in a privately entered SEAT León TCR was fifth fastest, just ahead of Plamen Kralev in the Audi RS 3 LMS, with the SEATs of Andreas Pfister and Mladen Lalusic completing the top eight.

The three cars to opt to skip the session were the three Zengõ SEAT Leóns of Zsolt Szabo, Norbert Nagy and Anett Gyorgy.

The next session for the ETCC is Free Practice 1 at 18:50 CET today.
