Airport race in Östersund set for STCC 2012
The Scandinavian Touring Car Championship is going to visit Östersund in the north of Sweden for an airport race in 2012.
“The race is for sure going to put STCC on the map of northern Sweden,” said Bob Huzell, Managing Director of STCC AB.
The race is going to be held on the 10/11th of August next year and this is going to be the most northerly race ever held on Swedish soil.
The organisers are planning to host the race on the Frösön Airport in Östersund and use a mobile track where corner markers, barriers and more also will be used at races such as the final STCC race of the year at the trotting track Solvalla in Stockholm.
