ETCC Slovakia Saturday penalty round-up
A round-up of of all of the penalties from Saturday for the FIA European Touring Car Cup round at the Slovakiaring.
In addition to the major penalties announced yesterday, with the deletion of all times set by both the S1600 class Ravenol Team GENA drivers Kevin Krammes and Erwin Lukas, as well as Czech driver Petr Fulín’s times in the Krenek Motorsport BMW 320si, the following smaller penalties were handed out:
In Super Production, both Nikolay Karamyshev and ASK Vitro Racing’s Aleksander Tosic were given 250 EUR fines. Karamyshev’s was for not being parked at the required 45 degree angle in free practice, whilst Tosic was judged to have crossed the pit entry line during qualifying.
Rennsport Team Grossman’s driver Steffen Grossman was also not parked at the required 45 degree angle in qualifying and was also fined 250 EUR.
Finally Alexander Frolov, making his ETCC debut in the Maurer Motorsport Chevrolet Aveo in the S1600 class was fined 250 EUR after not leaving his steering wheel in place whilst the car was in parc fermé.
The stewards have also decided to allow Rikli Motorsport Honda driver Christian Fischer and RCM Motorsport Peugeot driver Tim Gábor to start the race despite both missing qualifying, bringing the field up to 26 cars.
