Fernando Monje leads SEAT 1-2-3-4 in Imola qualifying
Fernando Monje has taken pole position for the final round of the 2012 FIA European Touring Car Cup at Imola, leading team-mate Igor Skuz and the two SEAT Supercopas of Stian Paulsen and Andreas Pfister.
Monje therefore adds three points to his points total, but with Peter Rikli qualifying second of the Super 2000 runners in his Honda and Petr Fulín third for Krenek Motorsport, Monje still needs to be weary of the ultra-consistent Rikli tomorrow and Fulín’s rear-wheel drive BMW.
Paulsen took pole in the Single Make Trophy class with third, whilst Fabio Fabiani took pole position in the Super Production class in his BMW 320i as Nikolay Karamyshev did not take part in the session.
Paolo Necchi, the only man who can defeat Kevin Krammes in the Super 1600 class, took the class pole with the 12th fastest overall time with Krammes in second place in the identical Ford Fiesta 1.6 16V.
The first race takes place at 11:20 CET tomorrow with race two following immediately afterwards.
