Dave Newsham excluded from fourth in race one

Dave Newsham has lost his hard fought fourth place position in the first race of the day at Snetterton as the Scottish driver’s Vauxhall Vectra was found to be underweight.

Newsham had battled for the lead early on against Jason Plato, before dropping a spot to Frank Wrathall and then the final podium position to Andrew Jordan after a controversial incident on the final lap.

The 45-year-old will have to start from last place for the second race of the day in his Team ES Racing Vauxhall Vectra, but will still carry the 18kg of success ballast which he was due to pick up from finishing fourth.
