Gabriel Ponce De León has taken his first race victory of 2010 at Alta Gracia, Cordoba for Ford, whilst a large crash takes out several front runners at the start.
Ford-YPF driver Norberto Fontana moves into the championship lead after the race, after López was involved in the incident.
Ponce de León led Honda Racing's Leonel Pernía, fresh back from Monza to the finish.
Juan Cruz Alvarez's Peugeot stalled at the start, and the resulting crash started by Mariano Werner ploughing into the 307 in his Toyota Corolla, also took out Ford-YPF's Martin Basso, Renault's Juan Manuel Silva, and former series leader José María López.
Fontana went on to finish third behind Ponce de León and Pernía, and therefore moves into a five point lead over Honda Racing's Mariano Altuna, who also moves ahead of team mate López.
Honda Racing still hold a 23 point lead over Ford-YPF in the teams championship.
The next race of the championship is on 27th June at Resistencia, which was won last year by Toyota's Mariano Werner.
