Green wins just ahead of Ekström at Norisring
Jamie Green claimed his first victory of the season at Norisring today. The Mercedes driver managed to just stay ahead of Mattias Ekström, half a second separating the both.
Ekström came out second after the final pitstops and put hard pressure on Green. The both were really close for the final portion of the race, but Green remained in the lead.

Bruno Spengler gained on the duo towards the end of the race, but was never able to get close enough to join the fight.

Ralf Schumacher took the start of the race from pole position and pulled away. But the joy was short lived for the former Formula One driver who was penalized for jumping the start and he dropped to 11th.

Oliver Jarvis finished fourth, scoring his first points of the season, with Timo Scheider in fifth and Gary Paffet in sixth.

Alexandre Prémat finished seventh ahead of a storming Martin Tomczyk in eight. The Audi driver stalled on the grid, lost nine places and had to fight hard to climb back up in the field.
