Fredrik Ekblom was best of the two Scirocco drivers with two fourth places in the races at Falkenberg.

"I'm always out for a win, but today I am happy for the points that we got. This is our first race with a brand new car and it is a learning period. The team has done an amazing job," said Ekblom after the second race at Falkenberg.

Team mate Patrik Olsson struggled, qualified 14th, got a puncture in the first race and finished eight in the second race.

"This time I did not have the luck on my side, but on the other hand this is the first race that I retire from since I started driving for Biogas.se in the STCC last year," said Olsson.

STCC has headed in to the summer break now and resumes in five weeks at Karlskoga, the track where Ekblom took the first win for the Volkswagen team earlier this year.

"There is going to happen a lot [on the cars] before the next race. Among other things the cars are going to be sent back to Volkswagen Motorsport in Germany where they were built," said Kristoffersson.
