BMW driver has taken pole position for the first race tomorrow at Okayama, Japan. Not a big surprise, as Farfus was also fastest in all three practise sessions, prior to qualifying. The Brasilian will be joined on the first row by his team mate from BMM Team Germany (Schnitzer), Jörg Mülller.
Möller only managed to squeeze into second in the latter part of the session. With doing so, he pushed down title candidate Gabriele Tarquini back to third. Because Tarquini received a penalty after the last race at Monza, he will have to start teh race from eight. His biggest opponent, Yvan Muller, will start the first race tomorrow from tenth place on the grid.
The title candidates in the Independents Trophy were pushing eachother to the limit as well. Stefano D'Aste qualified in a very impressive seventh place, while Trophy leader and D'Aste's teammate Sergio Hernandez was in a good twelfth place.
Best Chevrolet man was Alain Menu in fifth. James Thompson in the Honda Accord was in 14th.
