Starting next year, the best drivers from the Formula 3 Euro Series are going to test for Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters Audi and Mercedes teams. The best F3 Euro Series driver in 2010 with a Volkswagen engine gets to drive the Audi A4 and the best driver with a Mercedes engine gets to drive the Mercedes C-Class.
A lot of the current drivers in DTM have competed in Formula 3 before, no less than seven of the drivers.
Preconditions for competing in the Euro Series are a minimum age of 17 years on 1st January, 2010, and an international racing driver license A or B.
