Colin Turkington was fastest in the final practice session ahead of qualifying at Brno, ahead of the championship leading duo of Muller & Tarquini.
Turkington was half a second quicker than Chevrolet's Alain Menu in the morning session, the reigning BTCC champion from Northern Ireland still competitive with a slightly heavier BMW to the one he raced at Brands Hatch.
Yvan Muller was 0.461 down in second place, finding much better pace in this session, and was half a second faster than chief rival Tarquini in a very spread out front of the field.
Augusto Farfus was top of the works BMW's in fourth, with Norbert Michelisz again the leading rookie challenge driver in 11th. Kristian Poulsen was also an impressive eighth in his privateer BMW.
The session was red flagged in the last few moments as Tiago Monteiro got stuck in a gravel trap.
