Pepe Oriola to continue with SUNRED

Pepe Oriola is going to continue for SUNRED Engineering in the 2012 FIA World Touring Car Championship.
“I have received several interesting offers in the past months, but I have decided to continue with SUNRED. This was my decision as a driver because I wanted to stay with a Spanish team and thinking about the future, with the possible return of SEAT in 2013,” said Oriola.

The Spaniard is going to drive a SEAT León for the team with the new SEAT Sport 1.6 turbo engine.
“I had a great first year that exceeded my expectations. This season, when we have the structure of SEAT Sport in the team, I have higher expectations,” said Oriola.

Oriola becomes the fourth driver confirmed at SEAT for the WTCC this year with Gabriele Tarquini and Aleksei Dudukalo already confirmed under at Lukoil Racing and Tom Boardman at Special Tuning Racing.

The Spaniard will complete his first test of 2012 at Catalunya in Spain with the new engine tomorrow, before heading to Valencia on the 12-13th of February for further tests.
