Alx Danielsson returns to Brovallen Design at Karlskoga

32-year-old Alx Danielsson will make his return to the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship this weekend at Karlskoga after a last minute call-up from the Citroën-running Brovallen Design team.

Danielsson takes over the car which was raced by Niclas Olsson up until the Östersund round of the championship, when it was driven by Freddie Magnusson in a one-off deal.

“This is new to me, I got a warning at midday today (Thursday) that it might be possible,” said Danielsson. “I am incredibly grateful to Rolf (Andersson), Tobias (Johansson) and the others who made this possible.”

Danielsson has been competing in the STCC support series the V8 Thunder Cars this season, where he’s currently placed fifth in the standings, where he will also be racing this weekend which will mean a busy schedule for the former Formula Renault 3.5 driver, with both of the V8 Thunder Cars races taking place before each of the two STCC races on Saturday.

Jocke Mangs remains on duty as the team’s other driver, and is reunited with his 2012 TTA team-mate with Danielsson’s return to the Krylbo-based team, which aims to better its season best result of fifth at the Karlskoga circuit this weekend.
