Merszei and Kano added to Macau line-up of 34 cars

34 cars will compete in the finale of the 2013 FIA World Touring Car Championship, a record for the Championship, with the addition of Jo Merszei and Masaki Kano in two of Liqui Moly Team Engstler’s normally aspirated BMW 320sis.

The all-time record of 35 cars came from the first round of the 2006 season, but this was a merged grid comprising of both the full-time entries for the cars of the WTCC and the Super 2000 cars from the Italian Touring Car Championship.

The 34 car entry for Macau is the highest yet for the Championship, with nine older normally aspirated cars competing in the Eurosport Asia Trophy class alongside the regular contenders from this season.
