Peugeot open order books for the 308 Racing Cup

Peugeot Sport has now confirmed it is opening the order book for the 308 Racing Cup car for 2017. The car complies with TCR and TCN2 regulations, and is racing this weekend at the season finale at Mettet, where the car is being driven by Fréd Bouvy and Aurélien Comte.

The car made two appearances earlier in the year in both the TCR International Series and the European Touring Car Cup at Spa-Francorchamps and the Nürburgring, and is now back in action at the Circuit Jules Tacheny in southern Belgium this weekend.

Peugeot will launch a 308 Racing Cup series in 2017 for the car to take part, and have also confirmed a TCR Performance Kit will follow in 2018 to allow it to compete at the top end of the TCR field.

Peugeot Sport confirmed the pre-tax price of the car is 74,900 EUR, significantly below the TCR price cap of 130,000 EUR, with the latest top spec Audi RS 3 priced at 129,000 EUR, and the most popular SEAT León TCR sold for 110,000 EUR.
