Norbert Michelisz expects tough qualifying after missing Morocco FP2

BRC Racing’s Norbert Michelisz failed to set a lap in the final 30-minute practice session at the Circuit Moulay El Hassan in Morocco, due an electrical issue with his Hyundai i30 N TCR.

The Hungarian stopped after just five minutes when the rain was at its heaviest, and ended the session 25th on the timing sheets, almost ten seconds down as his rivals improved throughout the session.

“It was just a small electrical issue,” said Michelisz. “And then I just couldn’t get it started again.

“It’s a shame to lose some running on track, but it’s OK. The problem is it’s very close, there’s not much variation between the drivers lap times, so qualifying is going be difficult, and I don’t know if it’s going to be dry.”
