Johan Kristoffersson expects tough fight on race day at Knutstorp

Reigning World Rallycross champion Johan Kristoffersson expects it will be difficult to take the fight to the PWR Racing Cupras on Saturday after qualifying third on the grid in his KMS Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.

The 2012 STCC champion was just under three-tenths of a second off the pace after some late adjustments to the performance weight of the Cupra TCRs closed up the field, but not enough to stop the two PWR Racing cars of Philip Morin and Daniel Haglöf from securing the front row

“We have improved all through the day and I am really happy with qualifying,” said Kristoffersson.

“We had a good strategy and I got a solid lap. A big thanks to the team, they have done a great job. We haven’t quite got the pace on the guys in front of us, but the races are of course different; but if Morin gets a good start, it will be difficult to do anything about him.”
