No compensation weight changes confirmed for Zandvoort

The FIA’s latest compensation weight changes have been confirmed, with no changes for any of the cars competing on the World Touring Car Cup grid this weekend, meaning the Balance of Performance changes confirmed earlier today are the key change for this weekend.

The Hyundai i30 N TCR is still the reference car and will carry 60kg of compensation weight this weekend, while the Honda Civic Type R FK8 TCR will carry 20kg of ballast, after being assessed as 0.4 seconds off the pace.

The next closest car is the Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, but as it’s 0.6 seconds off of Hyundai’s pace, it carries no weight, with the Audi RS 3 LMS 0.7 seconds off after a marked improvement in Germany, but will also be unballasted.

The Cupra TCR (+1.0 seconds), Peugeot 308TCR (+1.5 seconds) and Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR (1.8 seconds) will also be ballast-free.

The Balance of Performance measures confirmed earlier today are the most significant changes therefore, with Audi, Peugeot and Alfa Romeo dropping 20kg, and Cupra and Volkswgaen 10kg, while Honda has gained 20kg and Hyundai has had its power cut to 97.5% and its ride height increased to 100mm, now 20mm higher than Honda and 30mm higher than its other rivals.
