Three drivers penalised at Thruxton

A somewhat subdued race day at Thruxton resulted in just three drivers being hit with penalties after the latest rounds of the BTCC season.

Team HARD driver Michael Caine was the only to be given points on his competition licence, with a penalty of two points as well as a verbal warning for the incident that Tom Boardman’s MG forced to retire.

Josh Cook was then given a verbal warning for his clash with Andrew Jordan whilst battling for position in the second race, whilst there was a similar penalty for James Cole for the incident that saw Tom Oliphant retire.

For all three drivers, it was a first ‘strike’ of the season.
