Cedric Piro and Loris Cencetti to switch cars for Hungary

Autodis Racing’s Cedric Piro and Loris Cencetti will switch cars for this weekend’s TCR Europe series round at the Hungaroring, the team has announced.

20-year-old Piro started the season in a Honda Civic Type R FK8 but will now take over Cencetti’s Hyundai i30 N TCR for the trip to Hungary.

Piro, who currently lies 19th in the standings with a best result of 10th, will continue to be run by the Piro Sport team.

Cencetti, however, will join up with THX Racing, who run the other Civic Type R of double TCR International Series champion Stefano Comini.

The Luxemburg driver Cencetti has scored a best result of ninth in 2018 at Paul Ricard and is currently one place ahead of Piro in the points table.

Comini is also confirmed to take part in Hungary, having sustained a cruciate knee ligament injury at the previous round at Spa-Francorchamps.
