Carl Swift starts ahead of Ash Sutton on strategic Race 2 grid

Carl Swift’s Maximum Motorsport Cupra TCR will start Oulton Park Race 2 from pole position after the reversed grid second race grid was confirmed, with Pyro’s Ash Sutton securing another front row in his Honda Civic Type R TCR.

The second race’s grid is set by the second fastest times from qualifying with the top ten reversed, which puts Swift on pole ahead of Sutton, with Robert Gilmour third on the grid in the DPE Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR.

Dan Lloyd decided not to try for the reversed grid pole, instead improving his third fastest time to second, which puts him ninth on the grid for the second race in his WestCoast Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.

Lloyd’s championship rival Ollie Taylor will start the second race from tenth on the grid in his Pyro Motorsport Honda, with the Maximum Motorsport Volkswagen Golf of newcomer Tim Docker missing the top ten for both grids.
