Dan Lloyd given grid penalty and points for clash with Stewart Lines

Championship leader Dan Lloyd has been given a grid penalty for his next race in the TCR UK Touring Car Championship after contact with Maximum Motorsport’s Stewart Lines whilst battling for third at Oulton Park.

Lloyd and Lines came together exiting Cascades as they battled for third, with Lines dropping down the order, while Lloyd only briefly held third before Ollie Taylor was able to drive past and into third position in his Pyro Motorsport Honda.

In the post-race investigation, Lloyd was found responsible for the clash and given a three-point endorsement on his licence, as well as a five-place grid drop for the next round in which he takes part.

As yet, Lloyd isn’t committed to taking part in the next round at Croft, as the event clashes with the STCC round at Rudskogen, which the WestCoast Racing team are committed to, meaning he could be forced to serve the penalty in Race 1 at Donington Park at the season finale.
