Teamwork Motorsport secure double pole positions at Ningbo

Teamwork Motorsport have secured pole position for the first two races tomorrow at the Ningbo International Speedpark, with Alex Hui securing pole for Race 1 and Sunny Wong for Race 2.

Hui’s best time of 1:53.102 was just under a tenth of a second clear of championship leader Henry Ho’s time in the MacPro Racing Honda Civic TCR, with Hui therefore securing the first race pole in Teamwork’s Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.

Zhu Zhen Yu was third fastest in the CUS Racing Volkswagen Golf, with Kevin Tse fourth in the second of MacPro Racing’s Hondas, just over a second from Hui’s time, with Paul Poon fifth fastest in Teamwork’s second car entered this weekend, an Audi RS 3 LMS.

Sunny Wong was fastest of all in the shared #11 Volkswagen of Teamwork in the second qualifying session, four-tenths of a second clear of Zhou Bi Huang’s CUS Racing Volkswagen, with Eurico de Jesus third fastest in the best of the MacPro Racing Hondas.

Macanese driver Filipe de Souza was fourth in his TA Motorsport Audi RS 3 LMS, just ahead of Paul Poon, who was again fifth in Teamwork’s Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.

The first ten-lap race is scheduled for 09:00 CST on Saturday (03:00 CEST).
