Luca Engstler extends points lead with Engstler 1-2-3 in Shanghai

Championship leader Luca Engstler extended his points lead in Shanghai after winning the first TCR Asia series race in Shanghai, China.

The German came home ahead of team-mate and title rival Mitchell Cheah, with Diego Moràn finishing third after officially losing out on his slim chance of challenging for the title after qualifying.

Henry Ho was fourth in his MacPro Racing Honda Civic FK8 TCR and won the TCR China Touring Car Championship race, ahead of Filipe de Souza’s Audi and Tian Yi Ling’s HE Racing Volkswagen.

Ivan Szeto was seventh in his Maximum Racing Honda Civic FK2 TCR, ahead of Lam’s Volkswagen Golf. Douglas Khoo was ninth outright in his Viper Niza Racing Cupra, with Ka Lam completing the top ten in his Honda Civic.

The second race is scheduled for 14:25 CST (08:25 CEST).
