Dan Lloyd on top in Donington Park free practice

WestCoast Racing’s Dan Lloyd led the way in the final practice session at Donington Park, with the TCR UK championship leader over half a second clear in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR over title rival Ollie Taylor’s Pyro Honda Civic Type R FK8 TCR.

Lloyd led the way throughout much of the session, which was held in warmer and sunnier conditions in comparison to this morning’s warm up session, with the lap times notably quicker, with Lloyd’s best time a 1:10.704.

Taylor ended up second in the session, six-tenths off the pace, with WestCoast Racing third and fourth fastest with Andreas Bäckman leading sister Jessica at the end of the 30-minute session.

Carl Swift was fifth quickest on his TCR UK championship return in fifth, 1.5 seconds off the pace in his Maximum Motorsport Cupra TCR, with Darelle Wilson just under a tenth of a second behind in the Vauxhall Astra TCR.

Stewart Lines was seventh in his Maximum Cupra TCR, with the two Pyro Hondas of Josh Price and Finlay Crocker behind him, with the SWR Honda of Sean Walkinshaw completing the top ten.

The final session of the day is qualifying at 16:35 BST (17:35 CEST).
