Volkswagen get a 10kg weight reduction for Hungaroring
The four Volkswagens of Sébastien Loeb Racing have received a 10kg weight reduction ahead of the World Touring Car Cup race weekend at the Hungaroring.
The change is only for the Volkswagens running with the new ECU that was introduced by the German manufacturer ahead of the 2019 season, brining the minimum weight down to 1,295kg.
Another Balance of Performance change introduced by WSC Group’s technical department is for cars running the DSG gearbox, receiving 20kg extra and 10mm increased ride height.
This means that the Audi RS 3 LMS DSG will have a minimum weight of 1,300kg and a ride height of 80mm while the Cupra TCR DSG and Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR DSG will have a minimum weight of 1,280kg and 70mm of ride height.
