Lynk & Co Cyan Racing secures third consecutive FIA TCR World Tour teams’ title

The first race of the FIA TCR World Tour weekend at Zhuzhou in China saw Lynk & Co Cyan Racing securing its third consecutive teams’ title.

“I’m incredibly proud of our achievement to claim three consecutive FIA TCR World Tour team titles and our eleventh touring car world title in just nine years,” said Fredrik Wahlén, Team Manager and CEO of Cyan Racing to TouringCarTimes.

“Team work both on and off track has always been our key motto and that has enabled us to achieve this title, something every last one of our team members have played a vital part to.”

There are two races still remaining at Zhuzhou this weekend and two further races during the Macau season finale two weeks later which will see the culmination of the drivers’ title fight.

Yann Ehrlacher has headed the standings for the majority of the season, albeit with the gap to team-mate Thed Björk shrinking slightly over the past races for a current gap of 27 points with 115 points left to fight for.

“To clinch the title with four races still to go of 2025 is thoroughly rewarding and now our focus is firmly set on the drivers’ title where both Yann and Thed have really good chances,” said Wahlén.

There is just one non-Cyan Racing driver with a shot at the drivers’ title and that is Honda driver Esteban Guerrieri who is placed third overall, 53 points from the lead and 26 points behind Björk.

“I’m extremely proud of everyone at Lynk & Co Cyan Racing for taking the teams’ title today. It’s a fantastic moment for all of us,” said Björk.

“I’m really happy with the result that gave me more valuable points for the championship.”
