WestCoast Racing confirms Göransson and Larsson

BMW Dealer Team WestCoast Racing has confirmed Richard Göransson and Fredrik Larsson for the 2013 STCC season.
“It wasn’t a hard choice to continue with Richard and Fredrik. We are also extending the cooperation with BMW,” said Dick Jönsson-Wigroth, owner of WestCoast Racing.

Four-time STCC champion Göransson is aiming for a new title this year after a struggling 2012 season.
“This is my tenth season in STCC and five titles in ten years isn’t bad. Our goal is tough, but we had the speed last year and we have analyzed what needs to improve,” said Göransson.

Team mate Larsson finished fourth last year and is aiming to step in to the top three overall this year.
“We were quicker and quicker as the season progressed, but things didn’t really go our way. With one year with the car we know what needs to be improved and I am very happy over another season with WestCoast Racing,” said Larsson.

First test of 2013 for the team is at Knutstorp this week, from Tuesday to Thursday, with the season starting at the same track on the 4th of May.
