TouringCarTimes was started by Johan Meissner – then aged just 11 – back in 1995 as a website to provide news and information about the British Touring Car Championship.
As the popularity of touring car racing grew throughout the nineties, so the website expanded to include other series in all corners of the globe.
The site is one of the oldest on the internet, even pre-dating Google, and is the largest portal devoted to the touring car racing in terms of readership, articles, and the number of championships covered.
In all quarters, TouringCarTimes is very much number one in its field.
Our purpose is to provide the most up-to-date, interesting, in-depth news and features that you won’t find anywhere else.
The championships we focus on include:
British Touring Car Championship (BTCC)
TCR World Tour
TCR Europe Series
Supercars Championship
Scandinavian Touring Car Championship (STCC)
As well as coverage of number of other national series such as TCR Germany, TCR South America and a host of other national and regional series.
We’re the only site that has a regular trackside presence at the major series we cover. We’re fully accredited by the FIA, the BTCC, the STCC, TCR Europe and more, and we have several freelance journalists, photographers and enthusiasts working for us all across the globe.
So why do we need your support?
TouringCarTimes is very much an enthusiast project and everyone involved with the website contributes alongside their regular ‘day job’ in various fields.
The income that the site generates goes towards travel support so that we can attend events in person, and also on the ongoing maintenance of the site.
The setup means that we do not have anyone working full time and have limited time to try and find advertisement and commercial deals that allow us to continue operating at the high level for which we are known.
Becoming a Patron of TouringCarTimes would enable us to further focus on bringing quality news, features, race reports and more to our loyal readers.
We write about the sport that we love and we would be delighted if you can help us bring touring car news to everyone that share our passion.
What do I get back as a Patron for TouringCarTimes?
As thanks for your support we will feature your name (if desired, anonymous contributions are of course equally welcome) on our Patron section of TouringCarTimes.
And if you want to take it a step further, you can select a higher membership level that include merchandise.

Thank you!
If you’ve decided to support us, a very big thank you for being a part of the biggest touring car website in the world.
